End of Year Round Up 2023
As we approach the end of another remarkable year, 2023 has certainly been a busy year for us all. It has been a year full of exciting project work, team bonding activities, new team members, training courses, CIHT events, company away days, fundraising for local charities and food banks, team socials, site visits and finally ending the year with a Christmas Party!
Milestone Team
We are truly thankful for the wonderful team that we have, so full of commitment and dedication, Milestone wouldn’t be the same without everyone’s drive and passion to stand out and always deliver on the needs of our Clients.
This year we expanded the team by welcoming new team members. Charlotte and Jo joined the Business Support team during the first half of the year, and have been a wonderful help to Sarah, allowing us to continue to enhance our Business Support capabilities. Josh joined the Planning South team in February as their CAD support, before moving to the Design Team to be more involved in detailed design work. After almost a year of being seconded, we welcomed Jack as a formal employee.
As a company, MTP love to reward those who work hard and effectively with promotion and all that goes with it. This year we congratulate Sarah for promotion to Finance Director, Zac to Principal Transport Planner, Amy to Transport Planner, Alex to CAD Technician, Joe W to Design Engineer, and Joe H and Adam to Assistant Transport Planners. Well done to all! We would also like to take this opportunity to give a special congratulations to Amy, who was recognised with a Highly Commended award for the Emerging Professional of the Year 2023 at the CIHT Awards. Well done Amy, on this incredible achievement!
Milestone Charity
Throughout the year we have raised awareness and donated to local and nationwide charities. Milestone give a percentage of profits each month and for the year 2022/23 Milestone have raised just over £25,000 in charitable donations. Our North Office held a fantastic Charity BBQ event for The Chronicle Sunshine Fund raising over £1000, which will go on to help provide adapted and specialised equipment to children aged between 0-19, who are living with disabilities, additional needs, chronic and terminal illnesses.
Milestone Christmas Party
We celebrated our successes with a combined company presentation and Christmas party – business in the day to party in the evening! The company presentation allowed the directors to give positive feedback about Milestone and discuss the growth strategy for 2024. Then came the party! In the beautifully decorated rooms at Tylney Hall Hotel, we had a festive Christmas dinner followed by drinks and a silent disco. The silent disco was a fantastic addition, although it was very hard not to sing a long too! As a result it was a great laugh watching everyone dancing to different music and trying to work out the song.
Overall, we’ve had a superb year, working with over 70 new Clients, on over 140 projects and several hundred existing ones. As we bid farewell to 2023, we want to say thank you to our Clients for their continued work and support. We look forward to working with you all again in 2024.
We are excited to build on the momentum of the past year and take Milestone to even greater heights. Here’s to fresh perspectives, and achieving even more in 2024!
