Wynyard Retail Park
The Wynyard Retail Park development which is now under construction comprises a major retail park. With a Sainsbury’s supermarket, two drive-through units, nine trade retail units, a battery energy storage facility and over 400 car parking spaces. The retail park will be a key amenity for existing / future residents of Wynyard and the significant number of employees at the adjacent Wynyard Business Park.
MTP worked closely with Stockton Borough Council and National Highways. In respect of managing traffic impacts on the adjacent road network that includes the A19/A689 Wolviston Interchange. MTPs overall role included master planning advice, key highways and infrastructure design, an access and parking strategy, transport assessment and travel plan, and BREEAM evaluations (for transport matters).
