Our North office prepared a Residential Travel Plan on behalf of developers Countryside Partnerships. The primary aim of the Residential Travel Plan is to increase awareness of sustainable travel options and to encourage their use, with the objective of reducing demand for car-based travel. Within the travel plan the team set out a wide range of options including; public transport, walking, cycling and car sharing.
The Residential Travel Plan is a positive step towards offering sustainable living within this development. Encouraging the use of alternative travel options can not only reduce traffic congestion and emissions, but it will also promote a healthier lifestyle. As a result of increasing housing in the area, it was essential that the team considered all solutions for sustainable travel. As we move towards a greener future. It is important that we continue to prioritize sustainable development in all our endeavors.
