Design Consultant Hameed Jehanfo attended the International Conference on Models and Technologies for Intelligent Transportation Systems in Nice, France.
The 8th International Conference on Models and Technologies for Intelligent Transportation Systems (MT-ITS 2023) was organized by The Communication Systems Department of EURECOM, co-sponsored by IEEE and the IEEE ITS Society. This year the conference took place in Nice on the French Riviera. The conference had a large range of speakers over the 3 days. Including presentations from 3 Key Note speakers. Prof. Serge Hoodendoorn introduced a paper on Multi-Scale modelling of active mode traffic and transportation: no data, no glory! The second Key note speaker was Prof. Arnaud de la Fortelle, he spoke about Control Data in ITS: from Big Data to Smart Data. Final day speaker was Prof. Jack Haddad who delivered a talk about Traffic Flow of Urban Air Mobility: Modelling, Control, and Simulation.
Hameed presented on the final day of the conference after attending many varied talks. Gaining more knowledge and understanding of Intelligent Transportation systems and data. Introducing his technical paper on ‘Effects of Traffic Volumes on Performance Metrics for Highways Transporting Connected Autonomous Trucks’. Within the paper Hameed developed different alternatives for introducing connected autonomous vehicles into the road network. Hameed then presented a method for simulating, calculating and comparing whole-life cost benefits. Using different components of the principles of sustainability. Including environmental impacts such as emission, societal impacts, and infrastructure costs and durability.
