Milestone have worked in collaboration with Kier Property to deliver 24,435sqm of industrial space which was granted planning permission in September 2015. The scheme involves the construction of warehousing space as part of Kier’s successful ‘Trade City’ and ‘Logistics City’ brands. Detailed off-site junction analysis was undertaken to assess the impact of the proposals with key off-site deliverables included the remodelling of the Lancaster Roundabout and local pedestrian connectivity improvements to the site. MTP were also involved in the detailed design of the two new points of access to the development which were approved through liaison with the Local Planning Authority and Highway Authority. MTP provide ongoing transport planning advice for other Kier industrial schemes, namely the former Macmillan Distribution site located at Houndmill Industrial Estate, Basingstoke which was granted planning permission in April 2016.
