Over the years we have worked on projects which have required creative and innovative solutions to give our clients the best possible outcomes.
Most recently Milestone worked with Assura healthcare to form a complex and intricate planning application for a brand-new, multi-purpose, healthcare facility within the existing grounds of the Northumbria Emergency Specialist Care Hospital. The development consisted of a new GP surgery, Pharmacy, Lecture & Educational facilities for Northumbria University’s medical students, and Office & Boardroom facilities for the Trust’s admin and governance staff.
In order to assist the client with this scheme, we had to carry out extensive research and development concerning the potential catchment of the GP. To do this we based our research upon similar practices in the area and reformulated the data to correspond with a population demographic-based model of Northumberland. The information we sought was not readily available, therefore, our advancement in new ways of collecting and analysing data, was pivotal in proving that this project would be successful.
We are incredibly pleased to tell you that planning permission for the building has since been awarded and Milestone Transport Planning are continuing to assist Assura Healthcare with the design of the off-site junction works.
